Historical Background

Stockport Green Party was founded as the Stockport Ecology Party in 1980. It has been active continuously since then, a longer period than for any other Green Party in the north-west of England.

Meetings

The party usually meets on the third Tuesday of each month in members homes.

Occasional discussion meetings are also arranged on particular aspects of Green philosophy, especially useful for enquirers or new members.

Sunflower Newsletter

The party issue a newsletter 6 times during the year, to which non-members can subscribe.

Costs = £5 waged / £2-50 low - unwaged.
